09th December, 2025
PRESS RELEASE:
The Turks & Caicos Islands proudly celebrates International Anti-Corruption Day today, December 9th, joining the world in promoting integrity, transparency, and accountability across all sectors of society. This year’s Theme is “Uniting with Youth Against Corruption: Shaping Tomorrow’s Integrity”
Today, the Integrity Commission presents special messages from:
- Her Excellency the Governor
- The Honourable Premier
- The Honourable Leader of the Opposition
- Chairman Justice Bernard Turner
- Youth Academic and Athletic representatives from across the TCI
These messages remind us that integrity is everyone’s responsibility—at home, school, church, work, and within leadership.
This year’s national countdown featured weekly Prose videos, including our new Prose 2 series: “Lady Justice – Accountability”, with scenes such as:
- Brother Peter’s House,
- Something for Me,
- Job Interview vs. “That’s It and That’s All,”
- Going Somewhere?, and
- It Ends With You and Me.
In additon, on November 24th, The Commission also hosted TCI College Speak-Off, which amplified student voices on Integrity and Anti-Corruption topics.
International Anti-Corruption Day matters to the TCI as it is an opportunity for us to renew our national commitment to fairness, good governance, and creating a country where trust leads the way.
Here are three simple tips to strengthen Integrity:
- Choose honesty in every decision.
- Speak up respectfully when something is wrong.
- Lead by example—at home, work, and in the community.
“Integrity strengthens a nation—one honest action at a time”, what actions are you choosing daily?
Happy International Anti-Corruption Day, TCI!
Together, we can shape tomorrow’s integrity by choosing integrity today.
