Countdown to Anti-Corruption Day, December 9th 2025:

Join Us in Uniting for Integrity!

The Turks & Caicos Islands Integrity Commission (TCIIC) invites the public to participate in the activities leading up to International Anti-Corruption Day 2025, observed on December 9th.

The theme for this year is:

“Uniting with Youth Against Corruption: Shaping Tomorrow’s Integrity.”

This year’s campaign features an exciting series of weekly video countdowns, video and print messages from national leaders, youth and athlete spotlights, faith-based engagements, and the TCICC Speak-Off, all designed to highlight the importance of integrity in personal, professional, and public life.

 

Highlights of the Anti-Corruption Day Campaign:

 

Ø  Weekly Prose 2 Video Series – The Turks and Caicos Islands Integrity Commission proudly presents Prose Series 2: “Lady Justice – Accountability”, continuing the powerful narrative introduced in Prose 1: “Whistleblower”.

This series highlights the Acts of Corruption – Section 67 (a–j) and the Seven Principles of Public Life:

 

·       Scene 1: Brother Peter’s House – Shows the possibility of an act of corruption when someone omits or performs an action for self-benefit (Act of Corruption S.67(b):

 

·       Scene 2: Something for Me – illustrates the possibility of an Act of Corruption S.67(a):  when someone solicits or accepts, directly or indirectly, any article or money. – Accountability goes beyond self-interest.

 

·       Scene 3: Job Interview vs That’s It and That’s All – shows the possibility of an Act of Corruption S.67(j): where someone pursuing a course of conduct for sexual gratification. – Public officers must never misuse their authority.

 

·       Scene 4: Going Somewhere? Illustrates the possibility of an Act of Corruption S.67(h): where someone may hinder or delay an action for self-benefit.

 

·       Scene 5: “Integrity, Honesty and Good Faith” ~ Accountability” seeks the collective responsibility through the voices of our TCI youth.

  

Ø  Spotlight Videos to be aired/played December 9th 2025:

 

·       Sports & Athletes: Sharing what integrity means in competition and teamwork.

 

·       Youth Voices: Highlighting how young people can lead with honesty and fairness in their communities.

 

Ø  Faith-Based Engagement:

·       Pastors and religious leaders will preach sermons promoting ethical living and integrity, demonstrating the connection between faith and accountability. Leaders are also asked to incorporate the youths by encouraging them to share 2 minute messages from the sermon and tag the TCI Integrity Commission

Ø  TCICC Speak-Off – November 24:

·       A platform for students to debate and present their ideas on integrity and anti-corruption, inspiring the next generation to lead with honesty.

 

Public Participation:

The Integrity Commission encourages everyone in the Turks & Caicos Islands to join this campaign by watching the weekly videos and sharing messages on “What Integrity Means to You,” leading up to Anti-Corruption Day.
