PRESS RELEASE:

SUBJECT: Integrity Commission Presents at the Launch of District Commissioners, Ministry of Home Affairs Event –   Saltara Hotel, South Caicos

| July 22, 2025

The Turks and Caicos Islands Integrity Commission proudly participated in the official launch of the District Commissioners Programme, hosted by the Ministry of Home Affairs on July 22, 2025, in Saltara Hotel, South Caicos.

Representing the Commission were Public Education Officer, Imterniza McCartney, and Compliance Officer, Latoya Weekes, who delivered a joint presentation on The Seven Principles of Public Life, the Role and Function of the Integrity Commission, and Conflict of Interest in public service. Their dynamic and insightful contribution underscored the Commission’s ongoing commitment to promoting a culture of integrity and accountability across all levels of government.

Although time constraints limited the full delivery of the presentation—particularly the detailed explanation of the declaration filing process—the Commission was honoured to support this historically significant event.

The TCI Integrity Commission commends the Ministry of Home Affairs for its proactive steps toward strengthening governance through community-rooted leadership and inter-agency collaboration. The Commission looks forward to further engagement and continuous partnership in empowering public officers to serve with integrity and transparency.

The launch event brought together various stakeholders and public sector representatives in a spirit of unity and purpose. The Integrity Commission expresses sincere gratitude to the Ministry for the invitation and applauds the vision behind this milestone initiative.
